Pensions and salaries in several professional sectors to increase in Tajikistan starting September 1

Insurance, labor, and social benefits in Tajikistan are being increased. Supplementary payments and the pension base are also being raised. The overall increase will amount to 10%. The changes will take effect on September 1, pursuant to a decree signed by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
As of September 1, official salaries will be raised for employees across several sectors, including culture, sports, and healthcare. The increase will also apply to staff of social protection institutions, law enforcement officers, military personnel, as well as employees of government bodies and public administration.
The base salary used to calculate the official wages of healthcare workers has been increased by 20%, reaching 744 somoni.
Implementation of the measures outlined in the decree will be funded from the state budget. Relevant government agencies are required to bring their decisions into alignment with the provisions of the decree within one month.
