Viktor Pinsky Met with Deputies of the Parliament of Tajikistan
June 30, Dushanbe, Tajikistan – The work on developing model labor legislation within the CIS format was discussed during a meeting between Viktor Pinsky, Chairman of the Commission of the Russian State Duma on Regulations and Organisation of State Duma Activities and General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU), and Makhmadshokh Gulzoda, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations, and Information of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting, held today in Dushanbe at the Parliament of Tajikistan, was also attended by other deputies of the Tajik Parliament: Orip Amirsoda, Chairman of the Environmental Commission; Naima Solizoda, member of the Commission on Deputy Ethics; Karakhon Chillazoda, Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan; and Margarita Usova, Deputy General Secretary of the GCTU.
"It is important for the trade unions of the Commonwealth of Independent States that the parliaments of our countries support the initiatives of the General Confederation of Trade Unions and our work to improve the model labor legislation of the Commonwealth in the interests of the workers of our countries," Viktor Pinsky said.
The meeting took place as part of the visit of the GCTU delegation to Tajikistan. The visit program also includes a meeting of the GCTU Council in Dushanbe, which will be attended by the heads of seven national trade union centers of the CIS, 20 international industry trade union associations within the GCTU, and a delegation from the National Trade Union Center of Turkmenistan, which is participating in GCTU events for the first time. The day before, Viktor Pinsky met with Sharif Norzoda, Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The GCTU events are being held in Tajikistan for the first time at the invitation of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan.

GCTU Proposes Discussing Harmonization of National Social Partnership Systems at a Special Meeting of the Advisory Labour Council
The General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU) proposed adding a special section to the 2028 CIS Year of Social Development and Quality of Life preparation plan, dedicated to events aimed at improving social partnership.
The proposals for the draft plan of the Year of Social Development and Quality of Life were discussed during the first meeting of the Working Group of the Advisory Council on Labour, Employment, and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS Member States. The meeting took place today at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk via video conference.
